Today, June 7, 2023, Huta Stalowa Wola hosted Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, President of Law and Justice (PIS) Jarosław Kaczyński and President of NSZZ “Solidarność” Piotr Duda.
An occasion for a meeting attended by employees of HSW S.A. and representatives of the crews of the largest companies from Stalowa Wola was the signing of an agreement between the government and NSZZ “Solidarność” regarding the increase in salaries in the budgetary sphere and bridging pensions. Signatures during the meeting were signed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the chairman of NSZZ “Solidarność” Piotr Duda.
The second important event during the visit was the signing of documents formalizing the decision of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to approve the application of PGZ S.A. for recapitalization from the Capital Investment Fund of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. Thanks to today’s decision, funds in the amount of PLN 600 million will be allocated to recapitalize the company and will allow for a significant increase in the company’s production capacity. The increase in investment outlays will allow HSW S.A. to increase the production of modern vehicles for the Polish Armed Forces.
During his speech, PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński said: We want to expand armaments production. We need it nowadays. He also emphasized the importance of HSW S.A.: “We must arm ourselves and this plant must play a huge role.”
Thanks to the funds obtained for investments, Huta Stalowa Wola will develop its own production capacity in the field of production of New BORSUK Floating Infantry Fighting Vehicles and other products. They will also modernize and increase the production competence of the Autosan Branch in Sanok for the production of military equipment, including WARAN 4×4 Multi-purpose Tactical Vehicles.
