The year 2018 is for HSW S.A. an extremely important time. This is the birth date of Stalowa Wola, but above all also the round, 80th anniversary of the existence of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. In the forks of the Vistula and San, where the headquarters of the Southern Works were established, in less than 800 days, which have passed since the first pine was cut to build the Works, a Stalowa Wola industrial center was established for the solemn opening by President Ignacy Mościcki. Along with it, in the Sandomierska Forest area, an employee housing estate was created, which was given the name Stalowa Wola. This is how the foundations of today’s Huta Stalowa Wola and the city of Stalowa Wola emerged.
