On 28 December 2017, at the headquarters of the Armament Inspectorate, Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. signed
a contract for delivery of Artillery Armoured Overhaul Vehicles (AWRU) worth tens of millions of zlotys.
The Polish Army will receive logistical support in the form of vehicle that will serve to perform necessary diagnostics and repairs in field conditions of the equipment already delivered under the “RAK” program. Configuration of the company fire modules foresees delivery of 1 AWRU per each module.
Artillery Armoured Overhaul Vehicle is vehicle based on JELCZ 6×6 chassis, with a container with necessary devices, including electronic equipment, to carry out overhauls and repairs, and basic spare parts. It is additionally equipped with an IT and communications system for automated communication with the command level.
