On September 16, 2023, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. A ceremony was held to award employees of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. state decorations awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland, departmental decorations – awarded by the Minister of National Defense for services to the country’s defense and medals awarded by the Management Board of Huta Stalowa Wola – Medals of Merit for Huta Stalowa Wola.
A total of 140 people were awarded.
The celebrations began with a solemn holy mass, which took place on the premises of HSW S.A. celebrated for the current, former and deceased Employees – HE Bishop Senior Edward Frankowski and Fr. Dr. Krzysztof Kida – pastor of working people in Stalowa Wola.
Then the awards ceremony began in the presence of the Management Board, employees and guests. The guests included: Senator of the Republic of Poland Janina Sagatowska, Member of Parliament and Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Rafał Weber, Deputy Voivode of Podkarpacie Radosław Wiatr, Starosta of Stalowa Wola Janusz Zarzeczny, authorities of the city of Stalowa Wola: Chairman of the City Council Stanisław Sobieraj and President Lucjusz Nadbereżny, Colonel Paweł Wójcik, Head of the Regional Center of the Central Military Recruitment Center in Rzeszów and bodies representing Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. – Management Board of Huta Stalowa Wola – Jan Szwedo President of the Management Board, Janusz Hamryszczak, Member of the Management Board, Financial Director, Robert Pacana Member of the Management Board, Corporate Director and Member of the Supervisory Board of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. Franciszek Zaborowski.
The President of the Republic of Poland awarded state decorations to eight distinguished employees in professional work for Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, the act of decoration was performed by the 2nd Vice-Voivode of Podkarpackie, Radosław Wiatr. For exemplary, exceptionally conscientious performance of professional duties, the Gold Medal for Long Service was awarded to: Jan Bielak, Tadeusz Laufer, Bogumiła Moskalska, Witold Sieczkoś, Marek Siembida, Jerzy Tarnawski and Henryk Węgliński. Silver Medal for Long Service – Marek Kluziński.
The Minister of National Defense, by decision No. 4676/DK, in recognition of merits in the field of development and strengthening of the defense of the Republic of Poland, awarded the Employees of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. Medals for services to the country’s defense. On behalf of the Minister of National Defense, the medals were presented by Colonel Paweł Wójcik, the Head of the Regional Center of the Central Military Recruitment Center. Employees of HSW S.A. were awarded gold, silver and bronze Medals for services to the country’s defense, our next employees will be awarded by decision of the Minister of National Defense. In total, the Minister of National Defense awarded 5 gold, 35 silver and 9 bronze medals.
Then, there was a ceremony of awarding medals of Merit to Huta Stalowa Wola, which is awarded by the Management Board of HSW S.A. for services to Huta Stalowa Wola. This is a one-time medal. This is a distinction with which the Company would like to honor people in recognition of their commitment and support for HSW. On the occasion of the anniversary, 80 people were awarded medals. The medal was also awarded to the Staroste of Stalowowolski, Janusz Zarzeczny, and the Chairman of the City Council, Stanisław Sobieraj.
