For the first time in 5 years, on the occasion of the Polish Army Day, a military parade was held in Warsaw under the slogan “Strong White and Red”. Thousands of people lined the streets to see up close the latest weapons and military equipment of the Polish army. As many as 200 military vehicles and several dozen planes and helicopters presented themselves on Warsaw’s Wisłostrada to the gathered guests and residents of Warsaw. Many of them appeared in public for the first time.
2,000 soldiers from various branches of the army and from allied forces took part in the parade. The parade took place on August 15 and was the most important event of the central celebration of the Polish Army Day celebrated throughout Poland.
The parade presented the latest weapons of the Polish Army – including artillery systems – KRAB, K9 howitzers, RAK mortars, armored – tanks, mines. Abrams, Leopard, K2, launchers – Poprad, Patriot, Himars, NDR, wheeled vehicles, among others. Rosomak, areo vehicles – Żmije and other tracked vehicles, as well as combat drones and several dozen aircraft from multi-role F-16 to FA-50.
Four Badgers appeared in the parade for the first time – New Combat Floating Infantry Vehicles from Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. and 30 mm Remotely Controlled Turret Systems on the KTO chassis. This is the latest equipment that is yet to enter service with the Polish Army, but today it was possible to admire and take a closer look at it not only during the march through the streets of Warsaw, but also during the static exhibition at the National Stadium. During the Parade, you could also see the BAOBAB Array Mining Vehicle from HSW S.A. and at the HSW S.A. exhibition also showed the 4×4 WARAN vehicle..
