Artillerymen in Węgorzewo improve their skills. Behind them an unusual task. The entire 11th Masurian Regiment was divided into three parts and at the same time on three different training grounds, but at the same time, the soldiers carried out the same orders, using our Krab howitzers.
Krab howitzers thanks to caterpillars can easily navigate off-road. They have modern fire control and navigation systems. They have been in possession of the 11th Masurian Artillery Regiment for 3 years. Crabs equipped with a powerful 155 mm cannon allow you to hit targets up to 40 km away. They have proven themselves during the recent exercises in the Baltic Sea. The fire task carried out simultaneously on the training grounds in Drawsko Pomorskie, Toruń and Ustka was a test for the crews and commanders.
Węgorzewo is one of the three units of the Polish Army that has Krabs. The Ministry of National Defense announced that by the end of 2024 the Polish army is to receive about 120 Krabs.
