As a result of the annex signed on the 12th of October 2018 to the non-public support contract from December 2016, in the amount of PLN 7.7million, concluded between the Treasury represented by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology and Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. The company will be able to continue the implementation of the investment plan, which aims to develop and implement production of welding technology for towers’s bodies and chassis of military vehicles from armored plates, in accordance with the new schedule.
HSW completes the assembly of advanced welding machines and the implementation of a universal robotic station for welding tower systems of products like Krab, Rak, USSW, chassis systems for, among others, M120G, WD, BWP. The modern automated technological line is a technological progression in the welding specialization of the entire Polish defense industry.
The implementation of this investment project ensures the safety of the production of military equipment for the Polish Armed Forces in the field of artillery and armored military vehicles included in the “Plan of the technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces in the years 2013-2022”.
Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. belongs to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa SA. (Polish Armaments Group). HSW S.A. specializes in the production of artillery and rocket systems, along with the Rak and Krab systems, it also develops the Kryl system. The company also participates in the program of building and delivering artillery rocket launchers of the Homar system to the Polish Army.
